March 31, 2017 – Summit Polymers, Inc. was named a GM Supplier of the Year by General Motors during its 25th annual Supplier of the Year awards ceremony held Friday, March 31, in Orlando, Florida.
GM recognized 118 of its best suppliers from 15 countries that have consistently exceeded GM’s expectations, created outstanding value or brought new innovations to the company. The announcement represented the most suppliers GM has recognized since debuting the Supplier of the Year event in 1992. This is the 3rd time that Summit Polymers has received the award.
“We are focused on building positive supplier relationships, bringing new, customer-centric innovations to GM and being the OEM of choice among suppliers.” said Steve Kiefer, GM Vice President, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “The companies we recognized tonight not only have brought innovation, they delivered it with the quality our customers deserve.”
Winning suppliers were chosen by a global team of GM purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives and selected based on performance criteria in Product Purchasing, Indirect Purchasing, Customer Care and Aftersales, and Logistics.

June 5, 2013 , Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group LLC honored its top-performing suppliers during the Company’s 2013 Annual Strategy Meeting and Supplier Awards Ceremony held today at The Palace of Auburn Hills.

May 2013 – Ford Motor Company hosted its 15th annual World Excellence Awards ceremony to celebrate its top-performing global suppliers in 2012.
Summit Polymers was named a Gold Award Winner by Tony Brown, Group Vice President, Global Purchasing, during the ceremony. The Gold Award is awarded to the top 5 percent of qualifying suppliers who demonstrated superior quality, delivery and cost performance.

Summit Polymers participated as an exhibitor in the 7th International Suppliers Fair (IZB) from October 10th-12th, 2012. The IZB is the leading European trade fair for the automotive supplier industry and is held bi-annually in Wolfsburg Germany. The event featured 776 exhibitors from 28 different nations and recorded a total of 49,000 visitors. Summit displayed several products from our extensive portfolio, everything from Air Outlets to Full Console Assemblies. The components on display featured a wide variety of Summit's manufacturing capabilities such as painting, pad printing, hot stamping, applique molding, high gloss mold-in-color as well as lean assembly. The event also provided a great opportunity for Summit to show our full system product development capabilities to current current and prospective customers.

Ford Motor Company recognized its 2010 top performing global suppliers with the World Excellence Awards, the company’s highest recognition for its suppliers across the globe.
The World Excellence Awards honor suppliers that have aligned themselves with the values and operating practices of Ford while reaching the highest quality, technology, cost and delivery standards.
Summit has announced significant expansion plans in China and Mexico to meet expected business growth and to support the global platform strategies of its’ key OE customers.
A new facility opened in Silao Mexico in 1Q of 2012. This plant includes a full range of injection molding presses (75 ton to 1500 ton) and full decorating and assembly capabilities. This plant is ideally located to serve the growth of Summit’s automotive OE customers in central Mexico, as well as support for global platform programs.
Summit has begun expansion of its’ manufacturing facility in Nanjing, China which will essentially double the capacity of the plant. The plant will have a broad range of injection molding presses (50 ton to 600 ton) and will continue to specialize in high value added, labor intensive kinetic products. Logistic services are in place to support multiple region global platform programs.
